I derive great comfort from these
truths. He has more grace for us than we can comprehend. In those moments when
we are not justifying our wickedness but are aware of our depravity, we are
covered by His grace. In those moments when we believe the lies of the accuser,
He has more grace for us than we have for ourselves. Failures or lies of
failures, we have His grace.
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” -Hebrews 4:15-16, NKJV
“He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” -Psalm 103:10-14, NKJV
