Timeless

God exists both within and beyond the physical, space-time continuum that He created. He has sent us messages showing their authenticity by their timelessness and prophetic nature. How can we believe the messages He has sent? How can we know they are from Him? Study and find out. He has told us what will happen before it happens. Many of His prophetic messages have already come to pass. Others are yet for the future, but they will prove true in time. This is one way we know He and His Word are true and reliable. And it all ultimately points to the Redeemer of humanity, Jesus of Nazareth.

Live Like There’s Forever

People talk about living like you’re dying, or living like there’s no tomorrow. This concept has really taken hold in our modern, cultural ethos. And I get it.

But what if we were to embrace a different perspective? What if we were to live with the realization that we, and all those around us, will live on forever in the hereafter?

It is true that we can never get back the moments. And we should embrace the now, but for different reasons than our culture promotes. Not to get the most we can for ourselves out of this life, but to redeem the time for the next one. What we do here and now impacts and echoes into eternity.

If we were to change the dialogue, how would this impact our lives? I know some of you do live with this perspective. But what for the rest of us? Will we embrace the truth of forever?

Apparent Contradictions

An apparent contradiction in the Bible is an invitation for deeper study.

The astute practitioner of honest, accurate scholarship will emerge from the endeavor with a greater appreciation of God’s magnificence and a deeper understanding of His ways. The Creator of reason is not irrational. The Author of logic is not fallacious. There are no contradictions with God or His Word; simply things we haven’t given the time or made the effort to understand, or things we are incapable of fully comprehending at present.

Don’t just accept contradictions under the guise of faith. And don’t reject the truth out of hand because you don’t understand it or haven’t explored it. This is intellectual theology. And you would do well to consider it; either as a responsibility to understand your own claims or because you will be accountable for your rejection of it.
