Racism, sexism, classism; these evils have all been around since ancient times. It's not an education problem or a financial problem. Nor is it confined to one ethnicity or gender. It's a heart problem, and it can take root in anyone's heart.
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9, NKJV)
There is only one true solution, and it is found in surrendering your will to Jesus. When you surrender to Jesus, God takes up residence in your soul and transforms your heart. You begin to think and act differently. This is the only true hope for real change to the human condition.
"So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26-28, NIV)
Not everyone who goes to church has actually surrendered to Jesus. Not everyone who claims belief in God actually has the Holy Spirit living in them. This is why we see so much evil done in the name of religion. But there is plenty of evil done apart from religion too. If you are looking for a real solution to the evils of our world, surrender to Jesus. He is the only true hope.
